Melbourne Concrete Grinding

Cafe & shop concrete floor grinding in Melbourne

Small commercial floor preparation for refits and handovers.

For the next stage of your fitout

A shop or cafe refit can leave glue, coatings or uneven spots on the slab. We handle grinding and surface preparation for smaller commercial floors and make-good work.

Work backwards from handover

Tell us when the floor will be clear and when the next trade needs access. Timing depends on the existing floor and agreed scope; include any access windows or building restrictions with the enquiry.

Choose the handover condition

Send the installer’s requirements if another flooring system is going down. If the concrete will remain exposed, ask about grind and seal or polishing so the finish can be considered before work starts.

Strip-out, new floor or exposed concrete?

For a new floor covering, send the installer’s prep requirements and the date they need access. For a tenancy handover, send the agreed make-good floor scope. If the slab will remain visible, decide on the finish before pricing the work.

Show fixed counters, cool rooms, doorways and other obstacles on the plan or in photos. An open rectangle and several small rooms can involve different amounts of edge work, even at the same total area.

Common questions

Can you work around a shop fitout schedule?

Send the clear-floor date, next trade’s date and building access windows. Timing and availability are confirmed for the actual scope before booking.

Does a make-good job need polishing?

Only if that is part of the agreed handover scope. Removing adhesive or preparing for another floor is different from delivering a finished exposed-concrete surface.
